  • When is my balance due and how can I pay?

    The date of when your balance is due will depend on when you make or made your booking.  You can find your balance due date on your booking confirmation invoice.

    Bookings made before 8 October 2020

    Your balance is due 14 weeks before you are due to travel.  You can find details of this in the booking conditions here

    Bookings made after 8 October 2020

    Your balance is due 10 weeks before you are due to travel.  Depending on what you have booked, you will find the booking conditions by clicking on the links below:

    You may pay by credit/debit card/gift voucher online by selecting the 'Log In' option in the top-right corner of your screen and selecting 'Manage my Booking'.

    We regret that we are unable to defer your balance due date.  These are the terms that were agreed with suppliers at the time your booking was made, and we are unable change these.

  • Do I have to pay to amend my booking?

    If you want to amend your booking, for example, changing your travel dates or accommodation, we will charge an administration fee of £75.  This is a set fee per booking, and not a charge per person.  In addition to this you may also have to pay any additional costs or charges imposed by any of our suppliers. These charges can include (but are not limited to):

    • Differences in flight costs plus any admin fees charged by the airline
    • Increases in accommodation costs – this can happen if the dates you select are in peak travel periods for example.
    • If you are choosing a different villa, you may be charged cancellation fees on the original villa, plus any additional costs for the new accommodation.

    In all cases, amendments will be subject to availability.  If we can meet your change requests, we will let you know what the additional costs are before you proceed with any amendments.  You can then decide whether you want to proceed.

    If your new arrangements result in a reduction of costs, we will refund you the difference, however, you will still need to pay the £75 administration fee.

    If you would like to enquire about changing your arrangements, please send us a request by using the form found HERE.  The person getting in contact should be the one who made the original booking.

    Our phone lines are extremely busy at the moment so you may have to wait in a queue to speak to our Customer Support team. We therefore strongly recommend that you contact us by using the request form.

  • How do I change my booking?

    We understand that sometimes plans change. That’s why we try to be as flexible as possible when it comes to making changes to your holiday. If you’d like to amend your booking, including changing your travel dates or accommodation, we can look into this for you. All you need to do is fill out our request form, here.

    Before you do, here’s a few important points to be aware of:

    • We charge an administration fee of £75 per booking for amendments. This is a flat rate per booking not per person.
    • There may be additional charges imposed by our suppliers for example the difference in flights costs or any admin charges from the airline, which are outside of our control.
    • There may also be increases in accommodation cost for example if the dates you move your holiday to are more expensive.
    • Depending on how close you are to departure, your booking may be subject to cancellation charges.

    Amendments are, of course, subject to availability. If we can make your amendment request work, we’ll inform you of all costs associated with this before we proceed with making the amendments.

    And if your new arrangements result in a reduction in cost, we’ll refund you the difference however, you will still need to pay the £75 administration fee.

    If you’d like to go ahead and make an amendment request, all you need to do is fill out this form. It should be the lead passenger who completes the form.

  • How do I manage my booking?

    Click on the Login and Sign Up option in the top right corner of your screen and select 'Manage my Booking'

     

    There are two ways you can log in to see your bookings.  

    > Option 1 is to register and set up an account. Select the Account option to do this.

    > Option 2 is to use the lead passenger surname and the holiday reference. Select the Bookings option to do this.

  • How do I cancel my booking?

    Once your booking has been confirmed, the person who made the booking can complete a request on our Contact Us page to arrange cancellation. Please be aware that cancellation charges will apply and these will increase the nearer you cancel to your departure date.

  • How do I make a payment?

    You can use any of the following methods to pay for your holiday without additional charge:

    Bank Transfer

    If you would like to transfer money to us directly our account details are:

    Please use your holiday reference as the payment reference.

    If you wish to create a payment account with us, this can be done through our website or the App under 'Manage my booking'.

    Credit Cards/Debit Cards

    We do not charge for any of the following card types:

    Unfortunately, we are unable to accept American Express as a means of payment.

    James Villas Gift Vouchers

    Gift vouchers can be redeemed over the telephone or online. If you would like to do this over the telephone, please reach out to us via phone and one of our Travel Experts will be pleased to assist you.

     

    The following payment methods, unfortunately, attract a 2% charge as we incur a charge from the provider of the service:

    • Purchasing Cards
    • Non-UK registered debit cards (even if they are GBP denominated)
    • Corporate Cards

    From time to time the banks can introduce new cards, particularly prepaid debit cards which use card numbers that previously appeared in credit card ranges. If you believe you are being incorrectly charged, please contact us and we will be happy to look into the matter.

  • What is the Balearics Eco-Tax?

    The Balearics Eco-Tax or Sustainable Tourism Tax, as it is also known as, is a government approved levy that applies to both foreign visitors and locals who stay in tourist accommodation in Mallorca, Menorca and Ibiza. The tax was imposed on 1st July 2016 to keep the islands in ship shape condition, funding sustainable tourism projects to preserve them for future generations.

     

    Unfortunately it does mean there is a tiny bit extra to pay to holiday to these beautiful destinations, but it is all for a good cause. Enabling people to return to the Balearics and enjoy all that these wonderful islands have to offer.

     

    The cost of the Eco-Tax varies depending on what accommodation you are staying in. However, for those of you who’ve already booked or are looking to book your holiday, we calculate this for you and include it in the total cost of your holiday. You can now see the Eco-Tax breakdown when searching for your villa holiday. Keep an eye out for the (?) symbol and all will be revealed when you hover over it, or touch it if using a mobile or tablet.

    We’ve taken the hassle out of paying it when you get there, so you can enjoy your holiday right from the off.

  • How do I purchase a gift voucher?

    We sell gift vouchers which can be redeemed towards the purchase of a James Villas holiday. Vouchers can be purchased by calling our Travel Team and are available in any denomination between £1 and £9999.

    Terms and Conditions

    • Gift vouchers can be redeemed as full or partial payment against any holiday booking with James Villa Holidays.  All vouchers must be used in full and no change or voucher credit can be issued.
    • Gift vouchers can be redeemed for a period of 2 years following the date of issue.
    • Gift vouchers are not redeemable for cash, cannot be resold, cancelled or exchanged for refund. Gift vouchers can only be redeemed towards holidays where the voucher holder is travelling. Holiday deposits cannot be paid using gift vouchers. If the full cost of a holiday is due at the time of booking (if booked within 14 weeks of travel), the gift voucher amount will be deducted from the total holiday cost. 
    • If it becomes necessary to cancel a booking where a gift voucher has been used as full or partial payment, any refund due will be in the form of a gift voucher up to the original gift voucher value. Normal cancellation terms apply in accordance with James Villa Holidays booking conditions. Gift vouchers are sent via email as e-vouchers. Please therefore ensure that you have entered the correct email address and ensure the recipient checks his or her spam folder. James Villa Holidays accepts no responsibility to provide a replacement or refund should the gift voucher be lost or stolen. James Villa Holidays reserves the right to vary these terms and conditions.
    • The usual Booking Conditions will apply to all holiday bookings made with James Villa Holidays.

  • How can I use my James Villas gift voucher?

    Gift vouchers can be redeemed against any James Villas holiday by quoting the gift voucher number to your Travel Expert at the time of making your booking. Upon approval, a Holiday Confirmation Invoice will be dispatched confirming payment.

    • Gift vouchers can be redeemed for a period of 1 year following the date of issue.

  • Is there a minimum age for making a booking?

    You must be at least 18 years old to make a booking with us on our website, on the telephone or in person at our office. The person making the booking will become the lead passenger and must travel on the holiday.

  • Why can’t I open the voucher attachment from my email?

    Voucher attachments cannot be opened on all mobile handheld devices. If you cannot view the voucher on your device we recommend you use a desktop device or laptop.
