Check which testing package you need for your holiday
The tests you need depends on the entry requirements of your holiday destination and the UK country you live in – requirements vary from country to country.
You can check the entry requirements for your destination here:
You also need to check what action you need to take when you return home. You can find the latest information on the Government’s Traffic Light system here:
You can also find links to the entry requirements for returning to Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland in the above link.
Depending on your destination, you may need:
- A ‘fit to fly’ test, if your holiday destination requires you to take a test before you go.
- A ‘test to return’, which you’ll need to pack with you and carry out while you’re on holiday in order to gain entry into the UK when you return.
- Tests that you need to take after your holiday, on days 2 and/or 8 once you’ve arrived home.
The Government have a list of approved private testing firms. This list is updated daily with the latest providers. You can find details here:
Several UK airlines can also direct their passengers to test providers, so you should also check with the airline you are flying with. We have provided links to the most popular airlines below:
You must ensure you comply with the testing requirements both for your destination and for your return home. Please see the below articles for further information:
